A Manny in Venice
I had a blast spending this past week at my grandma's house in Venice, Florida. The week was filled with time at the dog beach, finding a dog that looks just like me.. possibly a long lost sister named Annie (Annie and Manny- perfect combo!), and going to Myakka River State Park. Check out some pictures from my adventures!

Happy birthday to me!
Today is my gotcha day and my estimated birthday! I got a yummy birthday dog cookie that I shared with my brother, sister, aunt and uncle dogs. We spent the day in sunny Venice and Siesta Key exploring and getting lots of attention and pets when everyone found out it was my birthday! I even met a dog named Annie who was like my twin! Manny and Annie make a great pair :)

Hooked on Technology
We really need to lay off the technology a little bit.. It's starting to affect our social skills (in person) because humans are so addicted to their phones and social email. How about you take a break from your cellular device for a bit.. My nose makes the perfect resting spot :)

Remember to Have Good Dental Hygiene
Pitbulls sure know how to keep their teeth clean! Because of our willingness to please we are extremely cooperative with teeth brushing :)

Ca-nose-ing Along the Santa Fe
Yesterday I enjoyed an exciting adventure with my family, as we canoed down the Santa Fe River. Some people think pitbulls are unruly, wild and aggressive.. but tell me if that's the case, how come my brother Onyx and I (and our older sister Weiner) are relaxing and so well behaved on a boat? Would an aggressive animal be able to be contained and keep a boat balanced so well as we did? If we wanted to be jerks, we could have toppled the humans over, but we didn't :) Enjoy these fun pictures of us having a grand old time. We are very grateful that our humans bring all three of us on such fun adventures!

Is Your Cup Half Full or Half Empty?
A little blooper to show my balancing doesn't always go as well as planned...
This cup didn't fit on my nose so we attempted to balance it on my head. It hung out for a little while and then just flew away....

Nylabone Time
The only way a nylabone truly lasts as long as they say it should is when it's balancing on my nose :) once Onyx and I start chewing it it's a goner ;)

My Story
As an advocate for pitbulls, I want to change the negative views and ignorance of the general public against pitbull type dogs. Dogs like me face discrimination everywhere we go just because of our blocky head and muscular build. What people clearly miss are our loving eyes, our non-stop kisses, our incredible cuddling abilities, our loyal protection to our families, and our willingness to do absolutely anything to please. There are humans out there that take advantage of our devotion, and will put our loyalty to the most extreme tests by forcing us to fight against one another for money making businesses or train us to be aggressive for benefits only to the selfish owner, often through abuse and cruel practices. We are only dogs, and our willingness to do absolutely anything for our owners often turns around and is later used against us and creates a bad rap for our breed as a whole.
